Naruto:Hidden Ninja Villages
From Trunks9809
The Hidden Ninja Villages are the home of the Shinobi Training Academies within the Narutoverse. Each of the Villages is capable of producing highly trained shinobi, however, the skill set of the shinobi will vary greatly - even between shinobi of the same village. Many Shinobi Academies also hold graduation tests for their students, and award them the rank of Gennin upon successful completion of the test, although some villages have more vicious tests than others.
While there are many Hidden Villages, there are five main villages, and each is ruler over by a leader called a Kage (literally, Shadow). These five villages are referred to as the "Five Great Shinobi Villages", and they are:
- Konohagakure, the Hidden Leaf Village
- Sunagakure, the Hidden Sand Village
- Kirigakure, the Hidden Mist Village
- Kumogakure, the Hidden Cloud Village
- Iwagakure, the Hidden Rock Village
In addition to the Five Great Ninja Villages above, there are also many other smaller villages. These villages are not officially lead by Kages - that is, the Five Great Kage do not accept the rulers of these villages to be equal to them. It is currently unknown what the criteria are to actually become a Great Village and officially be recognized as a Kage, or even if such a feat is possible.
- Kusagakure, the Hidden Grass Village
- Amegakure, the Hidden Rain Village
- Otogakure, the Hidden Sound Village
- Takigakure, the Hidden Waterfall Village
- Getsugakure, the Hidden Moon Village
- Hoshigakure, the Hidden Star Village
- Yukigakure, the Hidden Snow Village
